Woodstove wonder

Woodstoves are a staple in mountain homes and at the Bar B it’s no different.

Before my new hardwood floors can be installed the woodstove platform had to be “changed” and that means tearing out all of the tile and most of the wood. The contractor who is transforming the pad from ugly to striking has bid the job at just over $800 including time, materials, refinishing the walls and labor. This is considerably less than the $1100 a local woodstove company wanted just to move the stove and demo the pad but not repair and finish the walls behind the pad.
