The trials and tribulations of fixing up a house filled with character but not much else

A few seconds of snow

In March 2014 a wind-driven storm brought six inches of snow that closed down U.S. 285 and I-70 for several hours while motorists waited for local police to remove unprepared semi-trucks and people without the sense to have adequate snow tires before heading in to the hills.

Thanks to Pinecam and My Mountain Town, both local community websites, many people were able to avoid being part of the traffic problem.

I spent a few minutes watching the snow fly which is one of my most favorite things about living in the mountains.
