Fall sunset
The Flying J Ranch was the setting for an incredible sunset on October, 1, 2015. I parked and grabbed my phone and took a few pictures.
An innocuous SUV was parked a few spaces down from me and I noticed a woman just standing there admiring the sunset. No phone, no pictures, no trying to capture the moment. She was living it.
We live in a world where people try to capture moments rather than live them but I’m a photographer, I take pictures.
A few times I’ve not been fast enough to capture a moment – a kingfisher swallowing a fish whole, a mountain lion crossing the road, a hawk harassing my cat.
But I caught this sunrise. I’ll remember it through the image because that’s what I do.
Are those two dots there in the lower right the bear’s eyes? š
