There’s no such thing as natural beauty

You don’t really realize how much work goes into installing wood floors but each time you walk on a wood floor, appreciate how much work it takes to get the job done. Once you have the wood and the installer, you have to move all the furniture, sweep the floors and lay out the wood. Not to mention schlepping a ton of tools and equipment and it’s more work than you think.

There’s a huge stack of long skinny boxes in my third bedroom and they’re filled with wood. The problem is you don’t see what’s going on your floor until you open the box. There’s a lot of it.

Time to call a supplier and raise some hell. NOT the salesman who sold me the wood; I mean I have to talk to the manager and get a resolution, explanation and absolution.

On the bright side the wood looks wonderful despite it’s quirky characteristics and “cabin-quality.”

BTW – Swifter is the greatest product ever made.
