There’s a popular license plate frame in Evergreen – got elk? Yes, as a matter of fact I do.

On June 27, 2024 the Ring camera went off. It recorded a 1:53 long video of two elk nosing around my front door, car, wood shed and water spigot. The Big Boys had returned to Shadow Mountain.

The first impression I had of this pair was that elk are rather mouthy. Mouthy like pit bulls are, always having to have something in their mouth. One picked up the door mat and then scared himself when it fell to the ground.

At one point, an immature male decided to walk across the front porch. I did a screen grab of him because nobody would believe me if I told them there was an elk five feet away from my Ring camera.
