Mountain beauty
The morning after a rather fierce snow storm in March 2014 this old homestead on Shadow Mountain was part of the stunning view. I couldn’t help but stop for an image.
This old homestead saw some rather unfortunate repairs three years ago when someone decided to replace the front door and probably discovered the house had tilted slightly making their repairs almost impossible. The result is a weird-looking house with new colored beams where the old rough timbers once stood but amateur repairs take nothing away from the view in that valley.
Mountain living is filled with post-card beauty round each corner of our twisty roads. I’m lucky to live here.
